Three Cheers For...

Book Club, Shmook Club.

Its been a month, did you read Life of Pi? What a sad, sad beginning to a book club. So, tell me what went wrong? You didn’t like the book, didn’t have time to read, don’t feel like discussing it? What’s the problem?
I’m ready to start another book, let’s get it right this time. What book should we do and how should we do it?

  • I at least started reading it! Rats. Anyway, I really really like the book club idea. I have a hard time finding the time to read, but once in a while I have a minute. Maybe it needs to be more of a “in your face” kinda deal. Like more posts about it? I dont know. My brain is fried- its Monday. And I know that everyone has certain types for books they like, but what if we go from the current best sellers list? Maybe that would make people get their monmoons in gear. (Including me.)

  • I am still reading it. I am enjoying it too. It is starting to get really good. But have I told you that I am obsessed with the vampire books? I am. An intervention may be necessary. I took Life of Pi with me for a week long business trip with great expectations, but I also packed Eclipse and ended up re-reading it. Sad. Pathetic. But if you don’t mind I’d really like to share my thoughts once I finally do finish Life of Pi. And your chastisement will probably speed things along. I respond well to chastisement.
p.s. Is that how chastisement is spelled? Hmm.
