Post Holiday Update
Wow, that was a great holiday season. It was nice to be away from Function Loves Form for a while. It gave us a good chance to step back and decide which direction we want to take the site. I’ve been posting alot of music, too much really, and while I Love music, Its only a matter of time until I get takedown notices for copyright infringement. I’ll try to limit the music, I realize that most of our readers don’t share my taste in music anyway, so I’ll try to cut it back to the stuff I think you’ll really like. I have finished The Best of 2008 and I hope to put it up in a podcast type format soon.
The recipes are coming back, I promise. I actually have ingredients now. We’ve been baking all of our own bread for about a month and a half now, I’ll share our recipe for our everyday whole wheat sandwich bread (its really Beth’s recipe not ours technically). Its tasty bread and I have yet to miss the spongy store-bought stuff. We also make our own yogurt now (I got a yogurt maker for christmas) and I have only recently perfected the recipe. Now our bi-weekly breakfast of toast and yogurt is 95% homemade (I’m not even gonna try to make the margarine). See our daughter’s version of this meal below.

I have made bread and I have been given red roses. How happy I am to hold both in my hands.
I’ve been pondering starting a book club here. I love reading and I love talking about books, so it would seem natural, right? I’m just not sure how we would do it. Would we discuss it in the comments? Can I create some sort of forum for it? I just don’t know. Maybe I’ll just start it and see where it goes.
That’s it for now, I’ve got work to catch up on. I will get that podcast up today and some recipes tomorrow. Hope you had a Great Holiday Season.
Jared is a Cordon Bleu trained chef and a lover of food.
Beth holds a Bachelor's degree in painting and needs to write something else here.
I like the book club idea. And is there any way you could send out an email when you run across cool music instead? If not I’ll just start doing the leg work myself. Grumble.
I would love to join the book club.
A book club sounds AWESOME. It would hopefully motivate me to find a few minutes to myself to read. I hear the Shack is a new good one (I think that is what it is called.). Anyway, let us know! Im excited! (If Darek could learn to read then we would ask him to join, but that is a little far fetched)
Wow, if all 3 of our readers want a book club then I’d better give it to them. I’ll try to do a beginning post tomorrow.
I’ve been reading Team of Rivals by Doris Kearns Goodwins, it’s a good book just seems to be taking me awhile to read it.
