The form’s side of the story
Jared said that I can post about crafts since I am crafty. I don’t really like the word crafty or being told that I make crafts. It reminds me of the days of toll painting and making stuff out of baby’s breath, (not that there is anything wrong with that.) It sounds like that person in the middle that isn’t quite a master at anything, but isn’t really a novice, either. A crafter is just one of the bazillion other people out there that like to make stuff. So what should “what I do” be called? What is it I do anyways? I paint, but I don’t really think I deserve to be called an artist, yet. I sew, am I a seamstress? No, I wouldn’t go (nearly) that far. I refurbish old things and make random things out of random objects. . . so yeah, I’m pretty much a crafter with a capitol C. (yay!)
So sit back and prepare to be blown away by my super crafty abilities. If I ever get to the point where I am making that bunny decoration that changes outfits every month, please feel free to send nasty comments my way. But seriously, I do love to make things, both new and old, and plan on using this blog to share my newest finds and current obsessions. But I also know that anything that is going on in my life will be fair game, so I will probably throw in some book reviews here and there, parenting joys and woes, and other miscellaneous stuff. I guess being a crafter isn’t so bad, it really is all about how you look at it.
